Founded by Benito Danisi in 1956 in Italy under the corporate name ‘Comelca’, the firm was the only firm to have procured especially the viscose fiber in Turkish textile market as of those years.

He himself being a Levantine who is an immigrant from Turkey, Benito Danisi has provided to Turkish textile not only raw materials but also financing and know-how in establishment of many long-established textile firms.

 Having continued its activities as FILOFIBRA SA in the city of Lugano of Switzerland as of 1967, the firm has agglomerated under the name ‘Unicel’ and taken the resolution to continue with only the firms Lenzing and Sateri after 1970s while selling the products of eight viscose fiber manufacturers in Europe to Turkish market.

The Swiss-based FILOFIBRA SA is being managed today successfully by Renato and Livio Danisi, sons of Benito Danisi.
